As the colleague Christine Keller-Chassot mentions there is a distinction between psychologists-psychotherapists and psychologists. Mental health issues can also be handled by other therapeutic ways that do not require education in psychotherapy.
International psychologists who are highly qualified and experienced in the field, recognized in Switzerland and members of the FSP can have an important role in supporting patients with their mental health issues.
Many of the Swiss colleagues have a great number of international patients because the international psychologists FSP are not recognized by the health insurance companies.
If this was possible many of us could be part of the solution to reduce the waiting lists by being another resource, and leaving the Swiss colleagues with more availability.
