The FSP’s Governing Bodies
The Commission for Internal Arbitration of the Association (VGK) comprises two chambers: the Professional Ethics Chamber (BEK) and the Appeals Chamber (RK).
The Professional Ethics Chamber (BEK), through its Ombudsman’s Office, assesses breaches of the Code of Conduct by association members.
The procedure for internal arbitration is described here: the rules governing the handling of complaints and a complaint template are also provided.
The Appeals Chamber (RK) of the Commission for Internal Arbitration of the Association is responsible for appeal proceedings internally within the Association.

The FSP’s Audit Committee (GPK) is an independent supervisory body that carefully monitors the Association’s activities in accordance with the provisions of the Articles of Association. It monitors the activities of the FSP’s executive bodies and issues warnings to those responsible in the event of breaches of duty. The GPK assumes a supervisory and monitoring function over the management. It ensures transparency and strengthens trust between the various governing bodies of the FSP.

Many psychologists work in institutions. To strengthen their position in hospitals, clinics or centres and ensure the most effective representation of their interests, the Swiss Conference of Chief Psychologists (SKCP) was formed with the support of the FSP.
The SKCP is made up of psychologists who hold a leadership position within their institution. The institutions must meet certain criteria, such as billing via compulsory health insurance (OKP) and playing a relevant role in psychological care at a regional level.
