Specialisation
Hi, Im Dr Joe Grace, Clinical Psychologist (UK Trained). I have been working with distress for over 30 years - the last 13 as a psychologist
About me
Dr Grace has worked in Health and Social Care for 30 years; initially with rough sleepers in London where he developed an interest in the relationship between trauma, psychological distress, and addiction. He then spent seven years as an Addictions Counsellor in the NHS, where he received training in Rogerian Counselling, Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). During this period, he completed a psychology degree (1st Class Honours). In 2012, he began a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and received further training in CBT, Psychodynamics, and Systemic Therapy. Postdoc’, he has completed foundation training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Systemic Therapy (ST), and full core training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDT).
Dr Grace practiced psychology in the NHS for 12 years, whilst simultaneously running a private service providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment. Since 2021 he has also worked as an Expert Witness providing psychological diagnostic reports for the civil courts. In 2024 he moved to the Swiss/French border and now provides services in both the UK and Switzerland.
