About me
I am an analytically oriented Psychologist and Psychotherapist. With an additional degree in Psychiatric Rehabilitation Techniques, I began my professional experience in the clinical setting in 2007 in an eating disorder center and a child neuropsychiatry service. Instead, from 2010 to 2013, I dedicated myself to the containment, treatment and social reintegration of users with psychotic disorders in a psychiatric community.
In 2013, my interest in the deep understanding of human behavior, its relationships with brain organizations and physical processes, and the neurobiological and unconscious mechanisms underlying it, prompted me to engage as a Market Researcher in the analysis of customer behaviors of large corporations and in the development a projective test to assess the values underlying consumers' choices and their shopping experiences. In the same year, I moved to London to conduct studies on the impact of migration experiences and parental involvement on the academic achievement of elementary school children.
Since 2015 I have been living with my family in Zurich where I am registered as a member of the Swiss Federation of Psychologists. In Zurich and Zug, I work as a Psychologist and Psychotherapist with children, adults, couples, and family systems, accompanying them on the journey to investigate their inner lives and to find meaning in their life experiences and crises so that they can face them with awareness and resilience.
I strongly believe in the power of a therapeutic alliance that is built on the particular individuality of each client. Therefore, I always try to find the best way to communicate with each of them and to allow them free expression so that together we can understand how their personality is shattered and what is hidden behind each specific symptom.
Through the use of play-therapy, art-therapy, sand-therapy, dream interpretation and to the general use of symbolic material, I listen to the discomfort of each of the people with whom I work, in a respectful attempt to embrace and honour it, with the firm understanding that deep work of untangling the knots beneath the surface is necessary in order to appreciate meaningful and lasting change.
