I am a psychologist passionate about emotions, offering a safe space to explore, understand, and navigate your inner world.
About me
Hello, I'm Tereza, psychologist specializing in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, and PhD candidate, originally from the Czech Republic and now based in Zurich, Switzerland.
My professional journey has taken me through universities, clinics, and classrooms, and has shaped a holistic and empathetic approach to therapy. I've worked with students and young adults navigating anxiety, panic, low self-esteem, and identity questions. Today, I work primarily with young people aged 18–35 and expats who are trying to find balance in an often overwhelming world.
One of my greatest passions is helping people understand and regulate their emotions. I believe emotions are not problems to be fixed, but important messengers we can learn to listen to and live alongside. In therapy, I combine cognitive-behavioral methods (CBT) with elements from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), offering practical and evidence-based tools tailored to your needs.
I'm also deeply committed to breaking down the stigma around mental health. I founded Kpsychologovi, a nonprofit supporting people in finding the right therapist and normalizing psychological care, because mental health deserves the same attention as physical health. During the pandemic, I launched the initiative #nekaslinasebe (“don’t cough on yourself”), which has since become the title of my first book on emotions and self-care.
In my PhD research, I focus on the stigma and barriers surrounding help-seeking in adolescents and young adults, because I believe no one should feel ashamed of reaching out for support.
To me, therapy is not about fixing you, because you are not broken. It’s about walking together through difficult times, uncovering your strengths, and building emotional balance so that you can live more freely and fully.
I currently offer online sessions and work in both Czech and English. If any of this resonates with you, I’d be honored to support you on your journey
