Specialisation
I have twenty years of international experience as a Swiss-Brazilian clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst.
About me
Training, knowledge, specialisations and work philosophy My education began in 1979 in Brazil, at the Swiss School of São Paulo, where I graduated from MATURA in 1992. In 1993 I obtained the TOEFL certificate at the International University of Florida in Miami, USA. From 1993 to 1995 I studied at the Lausanne School of Hotel Management (École Hôtelière de Lausanne, EHL), which gave me excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. My psychology career in Brazil spanned 13 years before moving to Lisbon, Portugal in 2016. My passion for psychology is based on a deep interest in human behaviour and a commitment to helping people overcome their problems. From 1997 to 2003, I completed my training in Psychology at the University of Cuiabá (UNIC) in Brazil. During my studies, I learnt about various psychological approaches, and I was particularly fascinated by the works of Sigmund Freud. After graduating from university, I specialised in clinical psychology with a psychoanalytic approach at the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUC/PR) in Curitiba, Brazil, from 2008 to 2009. Professional career and values Psychoanalysis is based on the assumption that people do not know all the factors that influence their lives. According to Freud, many conflicts are repressed into the subconscious, often as early as childhood. The aim of psychoanalysis is to uncover these unconscious conflicts and help patients to recognise the causes. This can be helpful for mental illnesses such as depression, eating disorders, anxiety, addictions or personality disorders. Lacanian psychoanalysis, which is based on Freud's work and has developed it further, is based on the ethics of "saying good things" (éthique du bien-dire) through the "free association" of thoughts. In the second year of my studies (1999) I began my further training in psychoanalysis at the Laço Analítico Escola de Psicanálise (LAEP), including personal analysis and supervision of clinical cases. After my training in psychology and specialisation in clinical psychology, I completed further clinical and theoretical training in psychoanalysis at the Associação Psicanalítica de Curitiba (APC) from 2008 to 2012. Back in São Paulo, I continued my training in Lacanian psychoanalysis at the Escola de Psicanálise do Fórum do Campo Lacaniano de São Paulo (EPFCL-SP). In February 2016, I moved to Lisbon, Portugal and from 2016 to 2017 I took part in a distance learning programme in psychopathology through the École Pratique des Hautes Études en Psychopathologies (EPhEP) in Paris, France. I began to participate in the seminars of the Association Lacanienne Internationale - A.L.I. in Paris, as well as in the seminars of the Centro Português de Psicanálise - CPP / A.L.I. There I was appointed as an analytical member and coordinator of the School of Baby, Child and Adolescent Psychoanalysis. I am currently an accredited member of the Association Lacanienne Internationale iin Paris (A.M.A. - A.L.I.) and actively participate in theoretical and clinical seminars on topics such as autism and prevention through early intervention. I am a member of several international associations and research groups focussing on the relationship between mother and child and the prevention of mental illness.
Since moving to Zurich, I have also regularly taken part in events organised by the Lacan Seminar Zurich - LSZ. Academic and professional affiliations My scientific affiliations include: - PREAUT - Autism Prevention (Brazil, France) - RIEPPI Network - International Network for Psychoanalysis and Psychopathology of the Child - Associação Ser Bebé (Portugal) - Rede Bebê (Lisbon, Portugal) - Fadenspule - Meeting place for young children and their parents (Zurich, Switzerland) My desire to work with the means of psychoanalysis in the social field led me to offer further training and lectures for professionals and families in the early childhood sector. Topics included the importance of the first years of life, child psychosocial development and signs of psychological distress in babies and toddlers. This is also the topic of the PhD thesis I have started. In January 2023, I completed the first year of the doctoral programme in clinical psychology at the University of Lisbon with distinction.
