Marnie Reed

I am originally from Australia but have spent most of my life abroad living in London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Switzerland. My life experience, coupled with my studies in clinical psychologly, have given me great insight in to how to work effectively with internationally-mobile populations.​I have post-graduate training in a number of evidenced-based approaches including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy. In Singapore, I worked in the area of child development and I have experience in both psychological assessment and intervention. After moving to Switzerland, I worked at the University of Basel for 10 years, conducting research into expatriate family well-being and adjustment as well as providing specialised services for the expatriate population. After completing my PhD in the Division of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, I moved to work in an inpatient addiction clinic in Lucerne, where I gained a wealth of experience in working effectively with addiction disorders. Recently, I began my own private practice in Basel, working with individuals and families on a range of  difficulties such as emotional problems, behaviour modification, stress, relationship difficulties, addiction, anger management, burn out, and sociocultural adjustment.
