Martyna Syguda

I obtained a Master’s degree in Psychology in Warsaw before moving to Lucerne in 2015. Prior to joining the team at Neue Realitäten, I ran a private counselling practice and a yoga studio. My interest in the mind–body connection led me to explore the topic of trauma and its effects on the nervous system, resulting in the completion of an extensive course in Psychotraumatology. I am currently undertaking training in process-based psychotherapy.

Living abroad and working with expats has given me deep insight into the challenges people face when adapting to a new culture. I work in English, Polish, and High German, supporting both the local and expatriate communities as they navigate difficult periods in their lives.

I believe that my background in both academic psychology and body-based, mindfulness-oriented practices allows me to approach mental health from a holistic perspective and to support my clients in a integrative way.
